Terms of Service

Plain-language summary (not binding): Scriptario is an AI transcription service. Payments are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Subscriptions auto-renew and can be cancelled anytime. 14-day money-back guarantee on your first purchase. You keep all rights to your files. AI output may contain errors — review it before relying on it.
1. Who we are
The Scriptario service (the "Service"), available at https://scriptario.com, is operated by Individual Entrepreneur Vladislav Zakharov, registered in Georgia ("Scriptario", "we"). Contact: support@scriptario.com (support), legal@scriptario.com (legal matters).
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Scriptario governing your use of the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service; AI-generated output
2.1. The Service provides AI-powered transcription of audio and video (uploaded files and supported links) and an AI meeting assistant (transcripts, summaries, AI chat over your content).
2.2. Output is generated automatically by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions or misattributions. You must review output before relying on it. The Service does not provide legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.
3. Eligibility; account
3.1. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
3.2. Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information. One person — one account (and no more than one Free account per person).
4. Plans and quotas
4.1. Current plans: Free (30 minutes/month, up to 15 minutes per file, limited features), Essential (500 minutes/month), Professional (1,000 minutes/month), Premium (5,000 minutes/month). Current details and prices: https://scriptario.com/en/pricing.
4.2. Minutes reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over. Quotas apply per account.
4.3. We may modify the Free plan (features and limits) at any time.
5. Fair use
Quotas are intended for genuine use by one user. It is prohibited to: resell or share access; run bots or bulk pipelines inconsistent with individual use; circumvent limits (including by registering multiple Free accounts). We may apply reasonable throttling or — after notice where practicable — suspend abusive accounts.
6. Purchases; Paddle as Merchant of Record; taxes
6.1. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Depending on your location, the seller of record is Paddle.com Market Limited (England and Wales, company No. 08172165) or Paddle.com Inc. (USA). Paddle processes your payment, issues the receipt/invoice, calculates, collects and remits applicable taxes, and handles payment-related enquiries. Purchases are additionally subject to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms: https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.
6.2. Your bank statement will show a descriptor such as PADDLE.NET* SCRIPTARIO.
6.3. Unless stated otherwise, prices are displayed exclusive of taxes. Applicable taxes (VAT, sales tax, etc.) are calculated by Paddle based on your location and are shown at checkout before you confirm payment, so you always see the final amount before paying.
7. Subscriptions; renewal; cancellation
7.1. Subscriptions are monthly or annual and renew automatically for successive periods of the same length at the then-current price, until cancelled.
7.2. You may cancel at any time in your account settings or via the link in your Paddle receipt email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then. Except as set out in Section 8 or required by law, fees already paid are not refunded pro rata.
7.3. One-time access passes (e.g., a 12-month pass paid with a one-time payment method such as Pix) do not renew automatically and expire at the end of their term. We may send you a renewal reminder before expiry.
7.4. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next billing period. If you disagree, cancel before the renewal date.
8. Refunds
8.1. 14-day money-back guarantee. For your first purchase of a subscription we will refund the full amount if you request it within 14 days of purchase — no reason required — provided your usage does not indicate abuse of the guarantee (for example, consuming a substantial portion of the monthly quota and then requesting a refund).
8.2. Unwanted renewal. If a renewal was charged and the new period is substantially unused, contact us within 7 days of the charge and we will refund it.
8.3. Refunds are processed by Paddle to the original payment method. Full details and the request procedure are set out in our Refund Policy (footer link), which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in this Section limits your statutory rights; consumers in Brazil and Spain: see the Portuguese and Spanish versions of these Terms for your statutory withdrawal rights.
9. Your content; licences
9.1. You retain all rights to the content you upload and to the output generated from it. You grant Scriptario a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.
9.2. You represent that you have the necessary rights to the content and, where required by applicable law, the consent of recorded persons to record, upload and process it.
9.3. We do not use your content to train AI models. Uploaded files are automatically deleted 30 days after processing; transcripts and summaries remain in your account until you delete them or close your account.
10. Acceptable use
You must not: use the Service for unlawful purposes or unlawful content; infringe third-party rights (intellectual property, privacy, publicity); upload malware; probe, disrupt or overload the Service; reverse engineer it except to the extent permitted by mandatory law; or use automated access to build a competing product or dataset.
11. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, design, and trademarks belong to Scriptario or its licensors. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
12. Changes to the Service
We may improve or modify the Service. If a change materially degrades paid functionality, we will notify you in advance and you may cancel; in that case we will refund the unused prepaid period pro rata.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation or of accuracy of AI output. This does not affect rights that cannot be excluded by law.
14. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages or lost profits; (b) our aggregate liability under these Terms is capped at the amounts you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (or USD 50 if you have paid nothing). Nothing limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Consumers retain all mandatory statutory rights.
15. Suspension; termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms (including Sections 5 and 10), with prior notice where practicable. You may close your account at any time in settings. Sections 9, 11, 13, 14, 17 and 18 survive termination.
16. Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy (links in the site footer).
17. Governing law; disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia. If you are a consumer, you additionally benefit from the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country of your habitual residence and may bring or defend proceedings in its courts. Otherwise, disputes are subject to the courts of Tbilisi, Georgia.
18. Miscellaneous
Entire agreement; severability; no implied waiver. We may assign these Terms to a legal successor of the business with notice to you. We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced at least 14 days in advance by email or in-app notice; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. This English version prevails for users outside Brazil and Spain; for consumers in Brazil and Spain the Portuguese and Spanish versions prevail respectively.
